Current status
Home Information Packs with Energy Performance Certificates are now mandatory
for all existing homes that are to be marketed for sale in England and Wales.
In addition to the mandatory searches and other required legal documents, you are required to have an Energy Performance Certificate ordered before any existing residential property is marketed for sale.
Make sure the Home Inspector or Domestic Energy Assessor, that you choose to represent you or your company, is a fully trained and accredited individual who is familiar with the properties in your area.
